Common Causes of Heel Spurs in Men

Heel spurs develop due to overuse and strain on the feet. In fact, athletes or active individuals are even more likely to develop this condition over time.

Common causes of heel spurs include walking on hard surfaces, engaging in high-impact activities like running or jumping, and wearing ill-fitting footwear that doesn't provide proper support. These activities and habits put excessive pressure on the heel, leading to the formation of bony growths that cause pain and discomfort.

Heel spurs are the body’s response to inflammation and overuse. To protect itself from future damage, the body builds up extra bone in areas of repeated stress. Often, heel spurs do not cause any pain, but when they become large enough, they can impact even the smallest of daily activities.

Effective Ways To Reduce Heel Spurs for Men

Men can reduce heel spur pain by first wearing supportive, high-quality men’s shoes for heel spurs, preferably with a well-cushioned, deep heel cup. Second, ramp up new physical activities slowly and safely. Finally, avoid walking on hard surfaces excessively.

Since heel spurs can’t usually go away on their own, surgery can be performed in cases where conservative treatments are not successful.

Plantar Fasciitis and Heel Spurs

I am on my fifth pair of QUANTUMs over the last three years. I had plantar fasciitis and a heel spur which were refractory to treatment and my job involves being on my feet 12 hours a day. Since purchasing my first pair of QUANTUMs, and after the short break-in period, I have had no pain and I am able to walk and work comfortably."

UNBELIEVABLY COMFORTABLE!

Have been wearing these shoes for over a week. Cannot believe how much of the Plantar Fasciitis and heel spur pain is relieved. These shoes are so light and comfortable that one almost does not want to take them off!! I did say ALMOST. My Podiatrist, while treating me for the PF and heel spurs stated that these are the BEST shoes on the market now for PF and spurs. They also help me with my type II diabetes. THANK YOU KURU for a terrific product and EXCELLENT customer service!!!!"
